How to use DivX Compressor?
Free download DivX compressor, install and launch it.

Step 1. Add File
Click
button to input videos needed to compress (DivX files you want to compress, or other video files you want to compress to DivX video).
Step 2. Set output format
Select files, open Profile drop-down list and choose the format you need.

Step 3. Adjust compression settings
Click Profile Settings on the upper right to adjust encoding settings, you can set video resolution, bitrate, frame rate, sample rate, to customize output quality.
Beginners can use the Video Quality drop-down list on the right panel to easily adjust the
output video quality. You can get smaller file size by choosing lower video quality.
The last option in Video Quality drop-down list provides a handy tool: Bitrate Calculator, which can also be opened in Tools menu. It allows you to specify a file size to compress video to. You just need to input a file size value, and it will auto-change the Video Bitrate to output videos in specified file size.

Step 5. Start Compression
After you set all the above settings, click
button on the tool bar to start compression.
You can use DivX Compressor as a DVD to DivX compressor to input DVD videos and get DivX files. The video quality is DVD-like, but the file size is quite smaller. DivX files are more suitable for storage on computer or playback on Windows Mobile, Xbox, Zune, Archos, etc.
